SSDG Interiors has developed a new executive office design for a financial firm located in Vancouver, Canada.
This national financial institution had two goals when renovating their executive floor; create a professional and formal office space for the executive team, and create a meeting zone that was welcoming and encouraged the entire organization to use this floor.
Two zones, public and private were created to facilitate these goals. The public zone with meeting and café space was centred around the elevator lobby while the executive office space was secured and made private. By moving the security barrier deeper into the office rather than right off of the lobby, staff and other members of their organization have the opportunity to interact with people they otherwise wouldn’t have crossed paths with. By breaking down the barriers, employee engagement has improved across all departments and roles, spurring innovation and engagement in their corporate culture.
