Prototyping and collaboration company InVision has recently opened up a newly designed LABS office in Prague.
Our goal was to introduce a more modern industrial look to this corporate building in the middle of the old town. It can be fairly difficult to find this kind of space in Prague, especially with so many protected historical buildings. One of the major selling points for us on this office space was its raw concrete divider and pillars throughout the main room. Having an untouched, naturally beautiful material like concrete to work with was refreshing, and provided us with a wonderful canvas from which to draw inspiration.
Keeping things simple with a black and white palette, we loved the idea of combining something so pure with a splash of shabby street-art. As an ode to the rebellious startup spirit, graffiti style writing and hand-painted illustrations can be found throughout. By choosing an open-office layout, we were able to open up the space with a flood of natural light thanks to the windows along the right-side of the office. The carefully placed hanging lights correspond to that natural lighting by combining warm with cool tones throughout the room.
Although LABS Prague has its own unique atmosphere, the space is easy to modify for any future plans or events.
