Guests and staff enter Gyros offices directly off the elevator into their reception/lounge. This semi-private area is screened by shelving and includes several diner-style banquettes and a super-graphic installation of Gyro’s main mantra, “Ignite Something.” By locating this informal meeting zone in the middle of the floor plan it functions as a collaboration hub between the studio and client areas on either end of the floor plate.
Adjacent to the Reception area is a large Pantry/Breakout space with counter-height farm table communal seating. The open studio area is the largest space in the office, filled with 84 bench-style desks, equipped with an informal lounge area with a drop down projection screen. The “client focused” area consists of conference rooms, including a main presentation room called “The Ignition Room.” These areas are grouped around an open Living Room/Lounge with fireplace and Coffee Bar.
Set in a historic building, the floor contains a large central core which elongated the program into a series of diverse work settings. Utilizing historic remnants, simple finishes, paint and environmental graphics helped drive cost savings, while also branding the space and creating visual impact.
