Rapt Studio has designed a second phase of new office space for youth media company Fullscreen located in Los Angeles, California. We previously looked at Phase 1.
For this global youth media company, home is where the content is. And Fullscreen is how you find it. The young startup, featuring videos made by creators around the world, wanted their space to reflect the community they’ve created and inspire everyone inside.
Six months after moving into their new Los Angeles headquarters, Fullscreen turned again to Rapt Studio to design an expansion that continues to support the agile nature of the work, while attracting potential talent. Much like the company’s philosophy, it was decided that the Fullscreen content would drive the concept.
The motto for the expansion space was: Don’t stray too far out of sight. The space carries many design cues from the HQ next door—custom workstations in oak and powder-coated steel, elaborate wallpapers, snow-white reception desk and wire pendants over the pantry—while catering to the needs of a content creation team that also inhabits the expansion space.
Features include large and small editing rooms, a “broadcasting”-like conference room with a grid of six large monitors to display content, and large break-out huddle rooms. The pantry serves as multi-function area: reception and social gathering place, plus it opens to the large broadcasting room so that the monitors can be opened to a wider audience. Much like Fullscreen content, the media playing on screen is always on and always changing.
